About The Professor
Following seven years as a practicing lawyer in New York City, Professor Burnham taught at The University of Montana School of Law from 1981 to 2010. He has been on the visiting faculty at many other law schools, including Santa Clara, Tennessee, Western New England, UNLV, Hawaii, Memphis, Ohio State, and Cardozo. He has had foreign teaching assignments in Uruguay, Lithuania, Vietnam, and China.
He has always tried to teach from the perspective of a practicing lawyer, and is teaching a Contract Drafting course at Concord.
He is the author of numerous articles and books, including The Contract Drafting Guidebook, Drafting and Analyzing Contracts, The Glannon Guide to Sales, The Glannon Guide to Secured Transactions, The ABC’s of the UCC: Article 1, Q&A: Contracts (2d ed.), and Contract Law for Dummies.
Professor Burnham has been actively involved with CALI, serving on the Board of Directors for many years, and with the ABA Business Law Section, where he has chaired the UCC Subcommittees on Article 1, Article 2, and Recent Developments.
Professor Burnham is a member of the American Law Institute.
