CALIFORNIA LICENSED ATTORNEY, REPRESENTS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATIONS

Pam Richardson, 2014 Graduate

A Head Start

Pam Richardson earned her bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before embarking on a long and successful career in the hospitality industry.

"I actually ran hotels for many years. I worked in many places across the country overseeing a number of hotels. But I always sort of wanted to go to law school. So this was my opportunity."

Business That Makes Sense

With decades of business experience already in tow, Pam started to look at graduate school as an option to enhance her value in the marketplace. "I always thought law school would be interesting. It was like, okay, this might be a good fit. You know, here I have the opportunity to come with this business background, and then have this law degree."

Pam decided to enroll in Purdue Global Law School (formerly Concord Law School) in 2009.

A Balancing Act

While Pam had the idea to attend law school, the heavy responsibilities of her daily work almost stopped her. "Trying to figure how you go back to school while you're doing that is pretty tough. It was really with discovering Purdue Global Law School that I saw that there was an opportunity to do that and work around the hours that I had."

Knowledge to Complement Knowledge

It was the structure and style that Purdue Global Law School offered that enabled Pam to achieve the education she wanted. "I don't think anybody realizes going in how much work it's going to be, but how interesting it is, and it opens up your world to all sorts of different areas that maybe if you have been in a single career, in a single scope, you're not as aware of. So that was interesting."

Pam earned her law degree from Purdue Global Law School (formerly Concord) in 2014. Today, Pam is an attorney with a boutique law firm in San Diego that primarily represents homeowners associations.
